The worst part about Steph and Joe… is that they’ll find you your dream home way too quickly and you won’t get to spend more of your time with them. We thought finding our first home would be incredibly difficult and frustrating, but Steph and Joe made the entire process so easy and fun. They were there day and night to answer our questions and hold our hands through the process. Their experience and knowledge is invaluable, but they also genuinely care about getting you into the right home. They’re great realtors, but even better people. I can not recommend them enough! 10/10, no notes.

We were struggling a bit with this review because we didn't want to come off as if we were getting paid to write it. Ultimately we decided to let the facts speak for themselves. My wife and I met Stephanie during the search for our first house over 27 years ago. In all that time Stephanie has helped us buy and sell a total of 7 homes for a total of 11 transactions to date. At one point she even helped us with an out of state relocation. After the first transaction we immediately realized that she did things differently from other agents. Since then our transactions have became a thing of real TRUST. Stephanie genuinely listens to us and never tries to steer or influence. At times even protecting us from ourselves when we have wanted to look at houses that we later came to realize would have been bad for us. Any attorney or finance agent she has recommended has always turned out to be top notch and it is an added bonus that she has access to these individuals during off hours. You know those moments when you want an answer to something but don't want to call your attorney at 10 P.M. Well she can and will on your behalf if the situation calls for it. She herself is always easy to reach and she will get that answer that you need. On this last transaction we joked that she is our artist and that we would just let her paint. Let me tell you she did not disappoint we bought / sold in one swoop and nothing is ever perfect but this transaction was close enough. I will wrap it up by stating that over these years she has become more than our agent. She is also a great friend. It doesn't matter that we don't connect, sometimes for months at a time, but when we do we pick up right where we left off. My wife and I will often joke that Stephanie will be representing us when it comes time for our nursing home accommodations. There are many good agents out there but you would be hard pressed to find someone as good and as real as Stephanie.

Stephanie is great. She will make you laugh and stick by your side throughout the whole process and after. She’s an amazing person and really passionate about her occupation.

Looking for a home is generally a stressful and time-consuming process in normal times. Even more so in the midst of a global pandemic. Especially if you’re moving from the city to a red hot suburban market, not being able to see the property in person before committing to it. We were so fortunate to have found Stephanie Calinoff with Douglas Elliman when we decided to move from Brooklyn to Suffolk County. As our Real Estate Advisor, she helped us find the right house in the right neighborhood for the right price. She was super patient as we traveled from Brooklyn to look at homes over several weeks. She also cautioned us about unreasonable offers when we fell too quickly for overpriced homes. In short, she was always on our side working to make our purchase as streamlined and successful as possible. The best part about working with Stephanie was that she was always more focused on our objective by giving us good advice, and finding homes that met our specific needs than she was on just closing a deal.

I was pretty picky and I was looking for a condo in a specific complex. When one unit became available, Stephanie texted me right away. She got me a showing the next day and my offer was accepted that same evening. If you're looking to sell OR buy (or both as in my case) in Long Island Stephanie is the PERSON to deal with ! I've used Stephanie 3 times....once to sell a home in Smithtown, which went quickly, effectively and for the right price ! Then I moved back to Smithtown 7 years later and had a home purchase fall through 10 days before closing....and I needed to buy a house immediately...I called Stephanie, who was on vacation and 24 hours later I had a contract on a wonderful home. Fast forward 9 years, and a company relocation. Stephanie was pitted against two other agents by relocation company and won out due to her incredible accuracy on my home value and she sold for exactly the predicted value....and did so quickly. 16 years of working with Stephanie (and her wonderful mom early on). SHE IS NOT THE ONE If what your looking for in an agent is someone to sell you a house directly under some power lines or maybe dead on the railroad tracks.
